Yesterday I posted pointing readers to Jajah and got taken to task for my flippant spam centric view in the comments. I've added a comment which also brought me to Charles Wong's post . He makes a great case for a "Skype Operator" service and provides nice use case insights in support. Inside Skype Charles' post will be useful input. It's the story I should have been more explicit about.
He also points out the "mobile" capability from a simple web browser, the dial-up capability impact etc. How nice it would be to access your SkypeOut minutes this way? It's a great example of customers shaping what they really want and how important connecting up all their numbers seamlessly is. PhoneGnome is an example that would aid this too for tying home numbers to Skype.
The world doesn't always want more complex. Jajah illustrates that. Charles finishes his post with.. (some editing)
To Skype: Have you considered a similar platform as JaJah, say codenamed 'Skype Operator' or just use the current 'Skype Web' name, to compete with JaJah and keep those portion of VoIP market?
Yes you need to do that and we long-time Skypers are waiting to see this day.
A further suggestion, JaJah sounds cool but it's not yet the brightest idea. You should design 'Skype Mobile' and make it works like phone card. Possible way to do it: 1. use a traditional phone to call a toll free number to access Skype Mobile server; 2. enter personal identification code which associates to our Skype account; 3. dial any number in the world using our Skype credits in the account; 4. enjoy the call!
This is the ultimate VoIP solution I can figure out for Skype right now, so try it!

I don't know if i understood Charles Wong "deep thoughts" ... but i want to tell mine, and i "think" it corresponds to those of Charles.
A lot of articles in the Skype Journal concerning new applications are written as if everybody knows Skype very well ... immediate opinions, no good explanations of the purpose of the applications, ...
I have to admit, i made the mistake myself ...
So, next time i contribute to the Skype Journal, i will try to give an introduction for "new users".
