Exclusive to Skype Journal...

Target market: Business! Refreshing too. After so much CES smoke and mirrors where the standard response to any question is, "Certainly by the end of the first quarter."

VoSky's new offerings are apparently very real. I have been testing the Call Center for the past 6 weeks. Sweet. I can be on the road and access my Skype from my mobile phone.

VoSky's second product, Exchange. A Skype 2 PBX Gateway. I get to test it next week. In my opinion this product will top the charts in 2006.

Both products are Skype Certified. Good on you VoSky!

Watch this space for more details on these products over the next 16 hours....

i do not understand the advantage of the tool: you need to call to the computer with your mobile in order to be able to call a person. so you do need to pay a connection after all. when someone wants to reach you on your skype number, you need call forwarding for which you need to pay again...

To me, the advantage is that I can use my cell phone in the US to call family and friends in Europe for 2 cents a minute instead of the 7 cents ATT used to charge me.

I can also use it from home or from my in-laws to call using a regular phone instead of having to bring my laptop and headsets around with me.

Oh yes, this sounds REALLY useful. Americans might think it's not that much of a difference calling for free or for 2 cents a minute, but European calling rates remain high and in other parts of the world... well, let's just say that the difference between calling via such a gateway and calling direct from your mobile is in the region of over 50 cents a minute. Interesting, eh?

From the point of view of saving money I must agree with the first comment. Using this with a mobile is not bargain as you will be paying the per minute charge that your plan requires. As a substitue for at home phone service, however, it seems to have some value.
