are there any differences between the Skype APIs as spec'd -- or implemented -- for Windows, Linux, or the Macintosh?

this is dumb
there is no reason not to have the same APIs for all 3 platforms: follow the flickr example of offering SOAP, XML-RPC and REST
i know the 3 platforms have different executables but there's no reason not to at least have a core set of APIs that are the same on all 3 platforms
Skype, please fix!
