Skype Journal: Skype is Blogging....
May 20, 2005 09:30 AMAbout one-hour ago Skype began its blog! The main man running the blog is Estonian, Skype Staffer Jaanus Kase or known by the more familar handle "terminus" for those who visit the Skype Forum.
So the competitive pressure is on the Skype Journal. Well anyway I think we beat Jaanus with the news about 3 Million users online. :) :)
The site is bright; breezy. New facts too.

There are known issues with the login which we are working to fix. It only affects a small number of people

Thanks for checking into the SJ! I was one of those small people it affected. Tdavid too!
Anyway it looks like your late night work paid off. I can now log-in. :) :) Thanks for your extra effort to fixing the bugs.

Nev, I hope soon you will meet or greet online Jaanus the Skype guy who is the drive behind the blog (not Lenn). It is quite an undertaking (as you and I well know) and he deserves applause for his gutsy move.
Jaanus has been the go-to-guy on the Skype Forum. He has done a good job there. Posting on a Forum is not the same as blogging (as I learned!)
I am quite excited to have Skype do a blog. I think it will help the Skype Journal, other Skype boggers like us (and you) and help the Skype community.
"NevOn Skype" and the "Skype Journal" offer indendent views on Skype. We both have a lot to offer the Skype Community. It will be interesting to see how Jaanus can engage us and how we can engage him in creating more for Skype Users. I hope Jaanus is up to the challenge. Because if he is, then we all gain.
(Personal note Nev: I will be in Amsterdam May 30 from 7:30 to 10:30 AM. Are you free for a coffee?)
