Wishlist: Skype for Android?

Allow Skype to operate, as with the current Window mobile devices. Anything that iPhone refuses to offer, is a good offering point. - Caffè

Skype has put many eggs in iSkoot's basket. Do you think Skype is working to diversify its prime-partner risk?

My sense is that there will be better Skype apps in 2009 especially when they can charge an upfront fee which the Android Market will allow next year.

Joining iSkoot for Android VoIP is Raketu, but I am not a big fan of it.

Also iSkoot isnt truly a free Skype service:

"You will be charged by your mobile network provider for air time and for data traffic based on the type of data service plan you have purchased. You will also incur SkypeOut charges any time you use iSkoot to call a regular telephone number (as opposed to calling a Skype buddy), and for any incoming Skype calls you receive. For more detailed information concerning costs, please review the “What does it Cost to Use iSkoot” section on our iSkoot for Skype page. Please note: Skype’s promotional offers for SkypeOut calls to select countries may not apply when using iSkoot."
